· To provide a good service you must obtain licenses and establish permits. Also, have endorsements and pay tax.

· On the verge of the start of Holy Week, the Secretariat of Tourism, together with Dimar, Coralina, Attorney´s General Office, Environmental Police, among other entities, will continue with the inspections.

An energetic call of attention to owners of establishments and tour operators was made by the Secretary of Tourism, Yadira Olivo Florez, during an inspection day, which was carried out at Tonino's Dock and at the former Cultural House. According to the evidence collected during the day, the place has several irregularities that must be corrected as soon as possible in order to continue providing services to the community.

Lack of public space, strong smells, visual pollution, no comfort for tourists, spaces not in line to provide services, lack of positions for comprehensive attention to tourists, among other flaws, were highlighted by the Secretary of Tourism.

"We have found other irregularities such as environmental issues, organization, parking and the competent entities of each aspect are taking measures. The first measure is to make owners of properties and establishments understand that no one can exercise tourism activity without control,"said Olivo Florez.

In the same manner, the secretary established that to provide a good service, licenses must be obtained and permits established. Also, have endorsements and pay taxes.

"There are many establishments and agencies that do not have the specifications which was registered in the National Tourism Registry. They certify an address, office or location in the NTR and it turns out that they attend at a stand. So, that's illegal," said Olivo.

Finally, the secretary made a call to order, in order to ensure excellent service to visitors.

"Here in San Andres there has to be control and a seriousness on the part of private companies,"the secretary concluded.

On the verge of the start of Holy Week Season, the Secretariat of Tourism, together with Dimar, Coralina, Attorney´s General Office, Environmental Police, among other entities, will continue with the inspections that have as fundamental objective to know first-hand and without filters the state of the services provided to visitors.
