Cultural Holy Week
As part of the celebration of Holy Week, the Secretariat of Culture is preparing for Thursday, April 18 from 10:00 a.m. at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, a Gospel concert, where an invitation is extended to all children and youth choirs of the churches of San Andres and Providence who would like to participate.
To this glorious event, the families of the islands as well as visitors are invited to attend this season of reflection, praise and rest.
"The idea is that each choir makes two participations with songs alluding to Holy Week to emphasize the fervent aspect of this week which invites us to reflect on many things,"said Juan Williams, Departmental Secretary of Culture.
For Holy Saturday, from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. on the Pedestrian Boulevard (Path Way) at the height of the I Love San Andres sign, the Secretary of Culture will have a wide cultural exhibition for residents and tourists.
There will be dances, music and typical foods, as main components of this encounter, as well as the participation of two musical groups which will offer with much respect the cultural contribution to this commemoration of Holy Week.
