During an inspection tour with officials from Findeter, the Inter-American Development Bank, Coralina, among other institutions, found that the work is progressing according to the established schedule, which will guarantee the flow of water to the inhabitants of Orange Hill, Barrack and other areas of Hill.
A total of 44 new users of the aqueduct system in the sector of Orange Hill, reported the Secretary of Public Services and Environment, Johan Mancilla Fayllace, after the Secretariat began the renovation of the aqueduct networks through Pipe Bursting, an innovative method that does not require large ditches to replace buried pipes of traditional construction.
"We evidence the pressure of the service, which has been improving in small sections where wrong connections have been found. We have invited the community to connect for free, since we are already working with the operator. Once the work is finished, future connection will have a cost. Therefore, we invite the community to take advantage of this opportunity and connect at this time that the works are being carried out at no cost,"said the secretary.
Mancilla Fayllace added that the goal is to improve the service every day, for such reason the inspections are constant.
"Once the recoveries are completed in the sectors of Orange Hill, Barrack and Cove, and the new ones in Bight, we will start with new networks in areas such as Las Palmas, Schooner Bight and Lox Bight, where they will be implemented for the first time in open ditches. The service will be improving little by little, as we can see in Orange Hill, where the pressure has been improving for all users," said the secretary.
With the support of the National Risk Management Unit, the official delivery of the networks to the community of Barrack is expected to ensure that continuity and service time are much better.
